BACON HAT!

A little early spring trail/fire road. Way too muddy for full fenders and Big Apples, but a blast all the same. This was a little four mile trail detour in the middle of our 40 mile hill ride.

I was getting some undesirable oscillation so I moved the SnapDeck farther back to reduce the amount the V-racks could bend. Eventually, this resulted in the failure of a hook. 

Just because you are carrying a whole bunch of camping stuff doesn’t mean you can’t pick up a friends along the way.

Allison is quite graciously keeping my bike from flipping over while I was taking the picture. When she said that she needed me to pick up some lumber, I just put on the one H-rack. Oops!

17% climb: totally worth it. (I highly recommend the point reys hostel, which is at the bottom of this climb.)
